The 2023 Young Lions Competition has officially begun, according to National CineMedia (NCM), the largest cinema advertising network in the United States and the country’s representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Beginning today, January 9, registration will be accepted through February 3rd.

With a strong emphasis on clever, innovative, unique ideas across disciplines and a greater emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, the 2023 Young Lions competition welcomes up-and-coming creative professionals. For today’s rising stars in the creative, media, PR, and internet industries, it is the most prestigious creative competition.

NCM has led the US Young Lions Competition for the past eight years while serving as the United States’ representative at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Represent!, NCM’s first Young Lions campaign, will be launched this year in an effort to increase participation and promote the young, diverse professionals who take advantage of this programme. The initiative calls for today’s creative trailblazers, aged 30 and under, to demonstrate their abilities and warn the media, advertising, and marketing sectors by showcasing the best of what the coming generation has to offer.

NCM’s network of theatres, which includes AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Harkins, and more than 50 additional affiliates, will for the first time donate in-cinema national media to support Represent! A 60-second commercial featuring Young Lions contestants and Team USA, which consists of the 2023 competition winners in the categories of film, digital, media, public relations, and print, will air on the trip. In June, it will be shown in theatres all around the nation to encourage Team USA before their trip to Cannes, France, for the international Young Lions competition. The commercial serves to publicise and honour all of the Young Lions competitors’ preparations for the worldwide festival by making them renowned on the big screen.
